Tyler's setup in his 1997 Ford Club Wagon
Tie down strap goes from footpeg, over right bar, to an attachment point on the wall of the van. The attachment point must be on one of the vertical "ribs" in the van as the van walls do not have the strength to support an attachment point. The strap on the seat is not secured, it is just lying there, it does not secure the bike at all. Tyler has been using this for years and its very solid. Advantage of not having tie down straps criss crossing the floor of the van. Very easy loading, keeps the center "aisle" clear, etc. The front wheel is turned in to the corner formed by the removable wood plank that is actually his loading ramp. Very clever setup. Works awesome.
